Throughout all of our lives and most especially in recent months, our relationship with God will be tested by trials, sufferings, and crosses which we are called to carry. These may at times lead us to experience intense emotions, including anger, even towards God himself. Even scripture attests to this fact, such as when the psalmist cries out "I say to God my Rock, 'Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?' My bones suffer mortal agony as my foes taunt me, saying to me all day long, “Where is your God?” Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God."(Psalm 42:9-11)
What are we supposed to do? Is it a sin to be angry with God? How do we pray through it? What does it mean for our lives and our journey as disciples when we have been brought to such a point of intense struggle?
If loss of work, health issues, anxiety, loneliness, the loss of life plans, or any other difficulty in your life or the lives of those around you has led you to ask these questions, there is truth which gives peace, that will set you free, and bring you closer to God.
Join us in listening to a message by Lee Strobel in which he addresses these topics, followed by small group discussions to share our thoughts, insights, and experiences.
The Event will be at 7 PM on Wednesday, September 16th
